Announcement of the 18th Outstanding Social Workers Award Results
We have received 29 nominations this year. The panel of adjudicators selected Ms. LUI Wai Yi and Ms. Fermi WONG as winners of the Outstanding Social Workers Award. Ms. WONG Pui Ling and Mr. LING Wai Hang were awarded as the Outstanding Junior Social Worker.

The 18th Outstanding Social Workers Award Presentation has been held on 16 January after the Annual General Meeting of the Association. The Guest of Honour, Mr. Matthew Cheung Kin-chung, GBS, JP, Secretary for Labour and Welfare, presented awards to 4 winners
Besides, winners of “The Most Remarkable Experience in Helping People” Selection were Ms. LUI Wai Yi and Ms. CHEUNG Wai Lam.
Mr. HO Lai Kit, Community and Marketing Director of Ming Pao Daily News Ltd. presented the awards to the two winners.

Dr. TSANG Kit Man Sandra, Head & Professor, Department of Social Work and Social Administration of The University of Hong Kongpresented the Certificate of Merit to 12 finalists.
The selection mechanism of the Award was divided into two stages: The shortlisting panel comprised of 7 members recommended 8 finalists and 4 finalists for Outstanding Social Workers Award and Outstanding Junior Social Workers Award respectively into the final selection. At the final stage, panel of adjudicators selected 2 winners of each Award by making reference to finalists’ information and conducting individual interviews.
