The Hong Kong Social Workers Association was founded in 1949. As a professional body for social workers, our objectives are to foster a high standard of professional practice and ethics of social work in Hong Kong and to concern on matters related to the profession, welfare issues and policies.  We are endeavor to work on, motivating the continual education for social workers, concerning current welfare issues and the development on social welfare, consolidating and liaising with international and Mainland social workers, and organizing outstanding social workers award every year.  We are working enthusiastically towards our slogan “Unifying Social Workers and Advancing the Profession”.

As a committed supporter of social work development in Hong Kong, we now invite you to register as our member and become one of our Committee Member afterwards.  And we cordially solicit your support in donating to the Association.  Your support and donation will contribute to the continual advancement of the social work profession and to the betterment of human welfare in Hong Kong.

For donating to the Association, please send your crossed cheque (payable to “Hong Kong Social Workers Association”) or original bank-in slip (Hongkong Bank Account No:002-7-216878) with the donation form to Room 703 Duke of Windsor Social Service Building, 15 Hennessy Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong. 

Besides, the Hong Kong Social Workers Association has set up a charity Foundation, namely, Hong Kong Social Workers Association Foundation Limited. And it is granted IRD Section 88 tax exemption status on 18 October 2008.  The main objectives of this Foundation are to further the development of the social work profession and to support projects that enhance the wellbeing of human-kind and the community.

Donations could be made by cheque payable to “Hong Kong Social Workers Association Foundation Limited” or direct deposit to the Hong Kong bank account 640-054334-292.  Please send the cheque or the Original bank-in slip back with the donation reply slip to “Room 703, Duke of Windsor Social Service Building, 15 Hennessy Road, Wancahi, Hong Kong”.
