Hong Kong Social Workers Association Foundation - Report in 2012
Hong Kong Social Workers Association Foundation was established in October, 2008. With the aims to provide resources for promoting the profession of social workers and support social workers’ participating activities that is improving the social welfare.
In the past few years, the Foundation subsidized several events, including the Joint Conference for Social Work Students of four areas, Mainland China, Taiwan, Macau and Hong Kong, sponsored the publication of the Hong Kong Journal of Social Work and the memorial book for the 10th Anniversary of the Service for Young Night Drifters.
For the coming year, in order to enhance their professionalism of social workers from Mainland China / East Asian Region, the Foundation would provide scholarship for them to join the social workers’ professional training programme in Hong Kong.
